Is There a Bear? is a small reference site that tells you, for any film or TV series, whether it contains a bear and whether the bear dies. Any bear counts — real, animated, cartoon, costumed, teddy, even a stuffed-and-mounted one in the background.
How we answer
Every entry is reviewed and approved by a human editor before it goes live. When the source material doesn't make the bear question clear, we mark the entry unverified rather than guess. We aim to err on the side of "tell the reader what we don't know" instead of pretending we do.

Film and TV metadata comes from TMDB and OMDb. This product uses the TMDB and OMDb APIs but is not endorsed or certified by either.

On any title's page, scroll to the bottom and click “Report an issue with this entry”. Tell us what you saw — the more specific the better (which scene, roughly when, what happens to the bear). We'll review and update the entry, usually within a day or two.
